It is suggestive that both Spina and Weyer used the 666 and other numbers composed by more than one 6 to calculate the number of demons (133,316,666 demons, 666 legions, 6,666 demons in each legion, 66 rulers).
Demons are numerous. It is impossible to count the number of angels (Revelation 5:11; Hebrews 12:22; Daniel 7:10) and the fallen angels were apparently a third of all these (Revelation 12:4,9).
According to Joanes Weirus in "De praetistigiis" published in 1568, there are 7 451 926 demons, organized in 111 legions of 6666 demons and ruled by 72 princes of demons.
As it had been said by Christian theology that there was 400 millions of angels, Alfonso de Spina calculated that about one third of them were demons, and in 1467 he asserted that the number of demons was 133,316,666 demons. This idea of one third of the angels turned into demons seems to be due to an exegesis of the Book of Revelation 12:3-9.
It is hard to imagine that there are that many demons out there.
The "Minions" of human spirits that have since passed on as "Condemed spirts" since the begining of Mankind, shoots the numbers into "Billions".
The reason I say this is because many aren't simply toprture by devils with pitch forks for all enternity.
There can be a collaborations there where they will work with demons to their bidding. No "Lost soul" is haunting a house without a demonic master calling the shots somehow, even if only behnd the scenes where it, itself has not manefested in the enviroment.
